Tunisia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing an economic mission to Senegal's capital, Dakar, from December 19-23, 2026. This mission coincides with the 34th edition of the Dakar International Fair, also known as FIDAK 2026. The fair is one of the most prominent economic and commercial events in West Africa.

The mission is being organized in partnership with the National Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Senegal, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Dakar, and with the support of the Tunisian embassies in Dakar and Senegal. The goal is to enhance the presence of Tunisian institutions in African markets and open up new avenues for economic and commercial cooperation.

The sectors targeted by this mission include traditional industries, services, construction, public works, food industries, and vocational training. The mission's program includes a professional visit to the fair, as well as bilateral meetings between Tunisian and Senegalese businessmen and institutions. These meetings aim to explore investment and partnership opportunities and understand the business climate in Senegal and West Africa.

This initiative aims to enable Tunisian institutions to access West African markets, which comprise over 400 million consumers. It also seeks to strengthen their commercial networks and explore new opportunities for export, investment, and cooperation with economic and institutional actors in the region.

The Dakar International Fair is a significant platform for Tunisian businesses to showcase their products and services. By participating in this event, Tunisian institutions can increase their visibility and competitiveness in the West African market. This mission is expected to foster greater economic cooperation between Tunisia and Senegal.

The Tunisian government has been working to promote economic cooperation with African countries. This mission to Senegal is part of these efforts, which aim to diversify Tunisia's trade relationships and increase its presence in African markets. The mission is also expected to attract investment and promote trade between Tunisia and Senegal.

A total of 11 Tunisian institutions participated in a similar event in Paris, showcasing their products and services. This demonstrates the growing interest of Tunisian businesses in expanding their presence in international markets.
