Tunisia's Zghwan Regional Hospital has recently been upgraded with new medical equipment and is nearing completion of its expansion and renovation project. According to the hospital's director, Anouar El Bahri, the institution has been strengthened with new medical equipment, and efforts are being made to improve the quality of healthcare services. The expansion and renovation project, which includes the creation of new sections, has reached 80% completion.

The hospital has been equipped with a range of new medical equipment, including a modern digital system in the radiology department, a fetal heart monitoring machine and a newborn warming table in the maternity ward, and a microscope for eye examinations. These additions aim to enhance services and reduce the need for patients to be referred to other healthcare institutions. The hospital's director emphasized that these upgrades will improve the quality of care provided to patients.

The expansion and renovation project involves the creation of three new sections, which are expected to be completed and operational by the end of the year. The hospital currently hosts several university departments, and there are plans to upgrade its classification from a regional hospital to a university hospital. The director expressed his commitment to improving the hospital's services and facilities.

The hospital is also working on a digital hospital project, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, to develop administrative and medical services. The goal is to complete the project by the end of the year, with a target of 100% completion. This project aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the hospital's services.

Despite these advancements, the hospital's director acknowledged that there are still shortages in certain medical specialties and paramedical staff. He stated that correspondence has been sent to the supervisory authority to request additional human resources and necessary specialties to improve working conditions and healthcare services for the region's residents.

The Zghwan Regional Hospital serves the local community, and its upgrades are expected to have a positive impact on healthcare services in the region. The hospital's expansion and renovation project, along with the new medical equipment, demonstrate the efforts being made to improve healthcare in Tunisia.

The hospital's development plans are part of a broader effort to enhance healthcare services in Tunisia. With the completion of the expansion and renovation project, the hospital is expected to provide improved services to patients and contribute to the country's healthcare system.
