Eight regional departments of equipment and housing in Tunisia have been awarded the "Marhaba" certification for quality reception. The departments that received this certification include Tozeur, Kef, Banzart, Jendouba, Kairouan, Ben Arous, Gabes, and Qafsa. This certification is part of the second batch of awards, with the Sfax regional department currently completing the necessary procedures to obtain it.

The "Marhaba" certification is part of the state's policy to improve the quality of administrative services and bring them closer to citizens. It aims to promote good reception and listening to citizens' concerns. The certification was awarded by the Minister of Equipment, Housing, and Industry, Salah Zwari, and the Director General of the National Institute of Standards and Industrial Property, Nafaa Boutiti.

The Minister of Equipment, Housing, and Industry, Salah Zwari, emphasized the importance of improving the quality of reception for those dealing with the ministry. He highlighted that this has a positive impact on developing the relationship with the administration, improving it, and supporting a climate of trust among citizens. Zwari also stressed the need to generalize the "Marhaba" certification to all public institutions and establishments under the ministry's supervision.

The "Marhaba" certification system has been adopted in various reception areas and fields, including central and regional levels. It covers citizen relationship offices, direct and phone reception, control offices, electronic correspondence handling, and services related to the ministry's official website. This certification aims to ensure that citizens receive high-quality services and have a positive experience when interacting with the administration.

The Ministry of Equipment, Housing, and Industry had previously received the first batch of "Marhaba" certifications for quality reception at the central level and for 14 regional departments on October 25, 2024. This latest batch brings the total number of certified departments to 22. The ministry's efforts to improve the quality of its services reflect its commitment to enhancing citizen satisfaction and trust in public institutions.

The "Marhaba" certification is a recognition of the efforts made by the regional departments to improve their services and provide a welcoming environment for citizens. It is expected that this certification will encourage other public institutions to follow suit and strive for excellence in their services. By doing so, the Tunisian government aims to promote a culture of quality and citizen-centricity in the public sector.
