A working session was held at the Monastir governorate on September 28, 2026, to assess the progress of several sports and youth projects, including the renovation of the Mustapha Ben Jnane sports complex. The session, chaired by the Monastir governor, reviewed the progress of the complex's renovation program, particularly the main football stadium. The project includes the renewal of the lighting system at a cost of approximately 1.2 million dinars, funded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The renovation work also involves the installation of new electrical transformers, with a progress rate of around 99% and a cost of 400,000 dinars. The project is awaiting completion of the connection to the network and resolution of technical reservations. Additionally, the seating areas are being equipped with numbered chairs, with a budget of 900,000 dinars allocated for this purpose. The tender for this work is being re-launched after the previous one did not yield results.

The renovation program for the complex also includes the refurbishment of the sports hall's locker rooms, which is nearing completion. Furthermore, progress has been made in the development of tennis courts, the re-grassing of the first subsidiary field, and the expansion of the sports medicine center. The complex's facilities are expected to be enhanced with the inclusion of lighting and re-grassing of the second subsidiary field in upcoming programs.

The Monastir municipality has allocated a budget of one million dinars for the maintenance of the concrete and tracks at the main stadium and the installation of numbered chairs, in line with technical and regulatory requirements. A technical meeting is scheduled to take place on September 29, 2026, to discuss the procedural aspects and develop an action plan to accelerate the implementation of these interventions.

The working session also reviewed the status of several sports and youth projects across various delegations in the governorate, including Zarmedine, Sahel, Tablb, Bouqalta, Qasr Hilal, Lamta, Masdour, Makinine, Cherahil, Menzel Farssi, Amir El Hajj, Jammal, Ghanada, Menzel El Hayet, Beny Hassen, Khneis, and Sayada.

The session included a review of the progress of projects such as the re-grassing of the municipal stadium in Zarmedine and the examination of technical issues related to the selection of suitable natural grass for the municipal stadium in Qasr Hilal. The meeting also covered the status of youth facilities and training and accommodation centers, including the ongoing procedures for the construction of a youth house in Sahel and the development of the Bouqalta center.
