The Ministry of Trade and Export Development in Tunisia has announced the opening of an external competition for the recruitment of 100 economic monitoring officers. This competition, which will take place on December 10, 2026, and subsequent days, aims to fill positions in several governorates. According to a decision made by the Minister of Trade and Export Development on October 7, 2026, the positions will be distributed among central administrations and various regions.

The decision, published in the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic on October 9, 2026, specifies the number of positions available and their distribution by region. Out of the 100 positions, 10 will be in central administrations, 5 in Tunis, and 4 in each of several governorates, including Manouba, Ben Arous, Ariana, Banzart, Nabeul, Zaghouan, Bajah, Jendouba, Kef, Silyana, Kairouan, Kasserine, Gafsa, Sidi Bouzid, Sfax, Sousse, Mahdia, Gabes, and Medenine.

The competition will be held in three stages. The first stage involves the initial acceptance of applications through automatic ranking based on the place of assignment and merit, limited to ten times the number of positions available in each region. The second stage consists of reviewing the files and verifying that they match the data provided electronically. The third stage involves a verbal test for accepted applicants.

To be eligible, applicants must have reached the age of 35 by January 1 of the competition year and hold a baccalaureate degree or equivalent. They must submit their applications via the ministry's website by November 9, 2026. The applications must be sent by mail with proof of receipt to the address specified in the competition announcement.

The verbal test will assess the candidates' suitability for the position. A score of at least 10 points in the initial acceptance stage is required to proceed to the verbal test. Candidates who score less than 6 out of 20 in the verbal test will be rejected. A total score of at least 30 points is required for final acceptance, with age being a criterion for ranking in case of a tie.

The Ministry of Trade and Export Development has specified that applicants can register online through the designated website and send their application files by mail with proof of receipt when requested. Applicants must adhere to the deadlines and required documents and choose only one place of assignment.

This recruitment competition aims to strengthen the ministry's staff and enhance its monitoring and regulatory capacities. It reflects the government's efforts to improve public administration and provide job opportunities for young Tunisians.
