Tunisia's Ministry of Education is set to host the first national student poetry meeting on October 30-31, 2026, under the theme "The Student's Voice... A Poem." The event, organized by the Ministry's General Directorate for Pre-University and Secondary Education, aims to support cultural and artistic activities in educational institutions and encourage student talent in literature.

The meeting will take place in Gabes, with 52 students from 26 regional education delegations participating, representing various regions of the country. Each delegation will be represented by one student from the preparatory stage and one from the secondary stage. The event is part of the Ministry's efforts to promote cultural and artistic activities in schools and provide a platform for students to express themselves and develop their language and aesthetic skills.

The national poetry meeting coincides with the end of the first half-term break and is designed to bring together talented students, exchange poetic experiences, and showcase their literary abilities and capacity to use language to express their ideas, feelings, and aspirations. The event also aims to develop recitation and communication skills, build confidence, and foster a spirit of initiative among participants.

The meeting's program includes an official opening ceremony, poetic and musical performances, and the presentation of participating students' poetic creations, as well as various cultural and artistic activities. This will provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talents in a supportive educational environment that combines creativity, interaction, and positive competition.

The event is particularly significant as it brings together student poetic talents from across the country, allowing them to interact, compete positively, and exchange experiences, promoting cultural openness and establishing creativity as a core value in school life.

The meeting will conclude on October 31, 2026, with the presentation of participating poetic creations, the announcement of results, and the distribution of prizes, in recognition of students' efforts and to encourage them to continue their creative paths.

The theme of the meeting, "The Student's Voice... A Poem," highlights the importance of listening to students and providing them with opportunities to express themselves and their visions, emphasizing the role of educational institutions in discovering and nurturing talent, and consolidating a culture of creativity and excellence.
