In a move to enhance the health and safety of Hajj pilgrims, the Kasserine governorate in Tunisia has introduced a new health monitoring system for the 558 candidates from the region who have applied for Hajj in 2027. According to Muhammad Rashad Masoudi, the Regional Director of Religious Affairs in Kasserine, this system will enable the classification of pilgrims based on their health status, facilitating the determination of their ability to perform Hajj rituals.

The new health monitoring system utilizes a specialized application in the health sector to track the health status of pilgrims, particularly those with chronic illnesses or conditions that may hinder their ability to perform Hajj. This system is part of a comprehensive framework that allows the medical examination committee to make informed decisions regarding a candidate's health suitability for Hajj. Masoudi emphasized that this approach aims to ensure the well-being of pilgrims during the Hajj season.

The medical examination for Hajj candidates from Kasserine, as well as from other governorates in the third region, including Sousse, Monastir, Kairouan, Mahdia, and Siliana, will take place in Kairouan. Specifically, the examinations will be conducted at a health school near the Okba ibn Nafaa Mosque, one of five designated centers across the country. This year's Hajj preparations involve coordination between the regional authorities and health services in Kasserine and Kairouan.

A total of 558 Hajj candidates from Kasserine will undergo medical examinations from October 24 to 28, as per a schedule prepared by the regional authorities. The program involves organizing the medical check-ups for candidates from different delegations on specific dates. This initiative aims to streamline the examination process and ensure that all candidates are assessed in a timely and efficient manner.

The implementation of the new health monitoring system reflects the authorities' commitment to providing adequate healthcare services for Hajj pilgrims. By classifying candidates based on their health status, the system enables the identification of individuals who may require special attention or care during the Hajj season. This approach is expected to contribute to a safer and healthier experience for pilgrims from Kasserine and other regions.

The Regional Director of Religious Affairs in Kasserine highlighted the importance of this new system, which is designed to support the well-being of pilgrims. The medical examination process will assess the health suitability of candidates, taking into account their medical history and current health status. This evaluation will help determine whether a candidate is fit to perform Hajj rituals.

The authorities in Kasserine and Kairouan are working together to ensure the success of the Hajj preparations, including the medical examination process. The implementation of the new health monitoring system is a key aspect of these efforts, demonstrating a commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services for Hajj pilgrims from the region.
