The Tunisian government has set a budget of 1321 million dinars for the Ministry of Transport in 2027. The 2027 budget includes several major projects for the land transport sector. These projects will be implemented by various public institutions and companies, including the Tunisian National Railway Company. One of the key projects is the rehabilitation of the number 6 railway line connecting Tunis to Kasserine. Additionally, there are plans to double the Mekenin-Mahdia line and renovate the phosphate transport network.

The budget also includes projects for the Tunis Transport Company. These projects involve the renovation of bridges on the Tunis-Halq al-Wadi-Al Marsa line, as well as the maintenance and renewal of tracks. Furthermore, there are plans to upgrade depots and warehouses.
