The mission, which took place on September 14-15, aimed to promote Tunisia's investment opportunities and explore partnership possibilities with Spanish companies operating in the food industry. The mission included meetings with economic officials and industrial company representatives, as well as site visits to production units. In Alicante, the agency's office delegation met with the Chamber of Commerce president and other officials to discuss organizing joint activities to promote investment and partnership opportunities in Tunisia for local economic institutions. The mission also covered the Murcia region, where the delegation met with officials from Conservas El Raal, a company specializing in vegetable product processing and preparation.

During the meeting with Conservas El Raal, the agency's office presented an overview of Tunisia's investment opportunities, while the company's general manager expressed interest in Tunisia's capabilities in agricultural inputs. Discussions focused on Tunisia's strategic location, proximity to European markets, and competitive production costs, which could enhance the Spanish company's ability to develop its activity and ensure its sustainability.

The mission highlighted the importance of the targeted markets, with Murcia being one of Europe's leading agricultural regions, hosting a strong processing industry that accounts for over 11% of the region's GDP and provides around 92,000 jobs. Alicante, on the other hand, boasts a high-value-added industrial fabric, comprising over 2,300 companies operating in the food industry, with exports valued at approximately €2.33 billion.
