Tunisia is participating in the Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum, held in Rome from September 29 to October 2, 2026. The new project has a budget of 5.5 million euros and a duration of three years. It focuses on developing a composite system for water management in Tunisia, supporting digital decision-making in the water sector, and promoting institutional capacity building for participatory and sustainable water resource management.
The REGLEAU project aims to support Tunisia's efforts to improve water governance and management. The project will help develop integrated water management examples in several governorates, including Kef, Zaghouan, Kasserine, Gabes, and Gafsa. These efforts are aligned with Tunisia's Water Strategy 2050 and its main objectives to ensure a balance between water supply and demand by the mid-century.
