Tunisia recently took part in the 7th German-Arab Women's Forum, held in Berlin on October 6. The event marked the end of the 2025/2026 cycle of the "Wasal" program, which aims to empower women. The Tunisian delegation included three women who are part of the program, along with participants from several Arab countries. The forum was attended by the Tunisian ambassador to Berlin.

The "Wasal" program, launched in Tunisia in 2013, seeks to enhance the skills of Arab women in leadership and project development. It also aims to establish a network of participants to exchange experiences and expertise. The program is funded by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and supervised by the Arab-Euro-Mediterranean Organization for Economic Cooperation.

One of the Tunisian participants was Amira Al-Hassanawi, an engineer and founder of the digital platform "Work Point". The platform helps companies and institutions manage workspaces and develop human resource management mechanisms to improve the overall work environment. Al-Hassanawi's participation in the forum highlights the innovative work being done by Tunisian women in the tech sector.

Another participant was Jihene Al-Touati, president of the startup "Arzak", which specializes in developing digital training courses for women, particularly artisans. The courses aim to enhance women's skills and provide them with access to financing and markets, both within Tunisia and internationally. Al-Touati's initiative supports the economic empowerment of women in Tunisia.

The third Tunisian participant was Rahma Al-Saqni, owner of the company "Rama", which specializes in the textile sector. The company produces sports clothing and swimwear using recycled materials and sustainable technologies. Al-Saqni's participation in the forum showcases Tunisia's commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection.

The 7th German-Arab Women's Forum provided a platform for participants to share their experiences and expertise. The event highlighted the importance of empowering women and promoting their participation in economic and social development. The forum also underscored the need for greater cooperation and exchange between Arab and German countries.

The participation of Tunisian women in the forum demonstrates the country's commitment to promoting women's empowerment and supporting their role in economic and social development. The event has provided a valuable opportunity for Tunisian women to connect with their peers from other Arab countries and to share their experiences and expertise.
