The Tunisia Africa Business Council (TABC) is leading a multisectoral economic mission to Guinea from October 6-11, 2026. The mission comprises 30 Tunisian business leaders from strategic sectors, including infrastructure, energy, pharmaceuticals, and technology. The goal is to strengthen economic ties between Tunisia and Guinea, promoting partnerships, investment opportunities, and joint projects. This initiative aims to leverage Tunisia's expertise in various sectors to contribute to Guinea's development projects.
The Tunisian delegation represents various sectors such as infrastructure, energy, electrical industries, pharmaceuticals, agri-food, higher education, tourism, technology, health, and services. The mission's objective is to showcase the capabilities of Tunisian companies and their capacity to contribute to complex and structuring projects. During four days, the delegation will participate in high-level institutional meetings, B2B and B2G meetings, and targeted "door-to-door" meetings with Guinean companies and decision-makers.
The mission takes place in a significant economic context for Guinea, marked by the Simandou 2040 dynamic and the country's ambition to accelerate its economic, industrial, and infrastructural development. The needs arising from this dynamic open up prospects in many areas, including infrastructure, energy, water and sanitation, industry, and local transformation. For Tunisian companies, this new dynamic represents an opportunity to valorize their expertise, form alliances with Guinean partners, and position themselves on high-value-added projects.
One of the highlights of the mission is the organization of a workshop by the Tunisian consortium Tucad, dedicated to the structuring and financing of projects in public-private partnerships (PPPs). The workshop will bring together public actors, companies, experts, and partners to discuss the conditions necessary to transform priority projects into structured, financeable, and feasible projects. The discussions will focus on PPP models, financing mechanisms, guarantees, and the mobilization of investors and technical partners.
The mission will also be marked by the participation of the Tunisian delegation in the 3rd edition of the Forum for Inclusive Growth in Africa (Focia 2026), which will take place on October 10 at the Noom Hotel Conakry. This will be another opportunity to present Tunisian skills, expand partnership networks, and exchange with public and private actors on the challenges of local transformation, industrialization, and value creation in Africa.
Through this mission, the TABC aims to go beyond a classical commercial prospecting approach. The ambition is to evolve Tunisian-Guinean economic relations towards an approach based on partnership, investment, co-construction, co-development, and joint project implementation. The goal is to build a more structured and sustainable Tunisian presence in Guinea and contribute to the emergence of African economic partnerships that create value, investment, and shared development.
Despite the efforts of the TABC and public economic promotion institutions, Tunisian exports to the African continent represent only 10% of the country's total exchanges, or approximately 6.5 to 6.8 billion dinars. The specific share towards sub-Saharan Africa is limited to around 3%, or 1.6 billion dinars. The TABC aims to double national exports to the continent to reach 13 billion dinars by 2030.
