The second Ifriqiya Energy Hub (IEH 2026) forum kicked off today and tomorrow in Tunis City, under the theme "Leadership and Cooperation for a Secure and Sustainable Energy Future". He noted that this applies to both hydrocarbons and renewable energies. Khalfallah highlighted Tunisia's goal of achieving 35% of its electricity mix from renewable energies by 2030 and 50% by 2035.
Khalfallah also mentioned that several major projects are set to start operations, with a production capacity exceeding 300 megawatts. In addition to these projects, other initiatives have been launched in the fields of necessity systems, licensing, and self-production. The consultant emphasized the need for swift implementation of these projects.
