Education For Employment Tunisia (EFE-Tunisie) organized the Green Finance Day in Tunis, gathering actors from green entrepreneurship, accompaniment, and financing. The event aimed to find concrete solutions to facilitate access to inclusive green finance, strengthen partnerships, and support the development of green entrepreneurial initiatives in Tunisia. The meeting marked the launch of the National Group dedicated to green finance.

The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including S.E. Mme Fenja Yamaguchi-Fasting, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark in Tunisia, as well as representatives from public institutions, financial organizations, business support organizations, startups, and green entrepreneurs. The first panel discussion, "Collaborate to Scale Up," focused on the evolution of value chains and innovative financing mechanisms.

The second panel examined the regulatory and institutional conditions necessary for the development of green finance and the strengthening of actors' capacities. Lamia Chaffai, CEO of EFE-Tunisie, emphasized that this day was an opportunity for collaboration, networking, and development, bringing together ecosystem actors around reflection and action.

Mohsen Kamel, Senior Program Officer of the Green Forward program at SPARK, believed that strong partnerships could bring green financing closer to young entrepreneurs, women, and companies located in underserved regions of Tunisia. S.E. Mme Fenja Yamaguchi-Fasting stressed that the transition to a green, sustainable, and inclusive economy required collaboration between public and private actors, investors, and civil society.

Sarah Jordan Torp, coordinator of the DAPP program at the Danish Chamber of Commerce, stated that Tunisia could not fully realize its competitiveness potential without mobilizing the talent and creativity of its youth. She highlighted the prospects offered by the development of renewable energies, modernization of agriculture, and improvement of water management.

The event also featured the signing of memoranda of understanding and partnership agreements, a master class for accompaniment and financing actors, and networking sessions. Green Finance Day was organized by EFE-Tunisie as part of the "Inclusive Green Finance to Support Green Entrepreneurship in Tunisia" project, implemented in partnership with SPARK and funded by the European Union.
