The Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, have joined forces to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid. They made this announcement during the inauguration of the movement's state and local government structures in Osogbo on October 31, 2026. The event marked a significant show of unity among key stakeholders in Osun State.
During the event, Tompolo donated 30 vehicles and other campaign materials to boost grassroots mobilisation efforts. Speaking through Chief Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Tompolo urged Osun residents to support Tinubu's re-election, citing the President's reforms that have improved the country's economy and increased resources available to states. He highlighted the removal of fuel queues, improved economic stability, and increased state allocations as key achievements.
Tompolo set an ambitious target of 1.5 million to two million votes for Tinubu in Osun State, urging residents to give the President at least 90 per cent of the votes cast in the state. This, he believes, will enable Tinubu to consolidate his reforms in a second term. Governor Adeleke, represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, commended Tompolo for expanding the President's campaign beyond traditional APC boundaries.
Adeleke noted that political parties and groups in Osun had put aside their differences to support Tinubu's re-election. He urged coalition partners to work together to deliver the targeted 1.5 million to two million votes. Oyetola, represented by Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the APC governorship candidate in the 2026 Osun election, echoed Adeleke's sentiments, stating that support for Tinubu's re-election was growing across party lines.
The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy urged the South-West to translate its political support into overwhelming votes for Tinubu at polling units. Sunday Asuku, National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, also spoke at the event, urging Osun residents to vote massively for Tinubu on January 16, 2027. Asuku argued that the President had earned a second term through his reform policies.
The event marked a significant milestone in Tinubu's re-election campaign, with key stakeholders in Osun State pledging their support. The state's governor, Ademola Adeleke, and other prominent leaders, including Tompolo and Oyetola, have thrown their weight behind the President's bid for a second term. Their support is expected to galvanise voters in the state to rally behind Tinubu.
With the target of 1.5 million votes set, the stage is set for a intense campaign in Osun State. The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, led by Tompolo, is expected to play a crucial role in mobilising voters to support Tinubu's re-election bid. The President's success in Osun State will be closely watched, as it is one of the key states in the South-West region.
