The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement has launched a mobilisation campaign in Borno State to rally support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027. The movement, led by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, unveiled its campaign in Maiduguri on Tuesday. Tompolo, the Grand Patron of the movement, was represented by Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Limited.
During the unveiling at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Square, College of Education, Tompolo distributed 44 vehicles, 88 speakers, 44 generators, 44 amplifiers, and 44 microphones as campaign materials. He urged the people of Borno State to reciprocate the retention of Vice President Shettima by voting massively for the APC in 2027. Tompolo expressed confidence in the President's leadership, citing security gains in the state.
Tompolo praised the Borno State Governor for the visible development strides in the state and appealed to the electorate to vote for the APC governorship flag bearer to ensure continuity of these achievements. He also commended President Tinubu for laying a solid foundation for a more prosperous country. The campaign unveiling was performed by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, represented by his deputy, Umar Usman Kadafur.
The Deputy Governor said the state remains prepared for massive grassroots support for President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima. He flagged off the campaign, which was supported by party chieftains. The APC Deputy National Chairman, North, Ali Bukar Dalori, called on members to take the campaign to the grassroots and mobilise support for President Tinubu.
Borno APC governorship candidate, Engineer Mustapha Gubio, pledged continued support for the Tinubu–Shettima ticket in 2027, citing dividends of democracy under the Tinubu administration. The campaign materials and vehicles distributed are aimed at mobilising support for the APC in the state. The movement seeks to build on the goodwill extended to President Tinubu by extending it to the grassroots.
