The Togolese non-governmental organization, Action and Solidarity Vie-Togo (AS.Vie-Togo), has donated school supplies to 147 deserving and underprivileged students in the Pouda canton of Doufelgou 1 commune. The donation, made on October 7, includes notebooks, school bags, blankets, paper, slates, pens, and fabric coupons for making school uniforms. This initiative aims to improve learning conditions for vulnerable children and encourage academic excellence.

The recipients of the donation are students who excelled in their classes or performed well in various exams. Specifically, they are the top five students in each of the classes from CP1 to CM1 and the top three students who achieved good grades in the CEPD, BEPC, BAC 1, and BAC 2 exams. According to AS.Vie-Togo's president, Massoka Barima Etienne, this action addresses the challenges faced by some students who struggle to purchase school supplies even weeks after the start of the academic year.

The president of AS.Vie-Togo encouraged the beneficiaries to work harder and urged parents to ensure their children attend school regularly. During an interactive session with the students, Massoka emphasized the importance of effort, citizenship, and learning, using Togo's national motto, "Travail-Liberté-Patrie." The organization also engages in awareness campaigns against sociocultural practices that may lead to school dropout, such as early marriage.

In addition to its educational initiatives, AS.Vie-Togo is involved in community health, prevention, and agroeconomic and agroecological development. The ceremony, attended by the organization's treasurer, Georges Koumdarma Solitoke, school administrators, teachers, local authorities, parents, and security forces, demonstrates the organization's commitment to supporting education in Togo.

The donation of school supplies is part of AS.Vie-Togo's efforts to promote education and reduce the barriers that prevent underprivileged students from accessing quality education. By providing essential materials, the organization aims to create a more level playing field for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

AS.Vie-Togo's initiatives have a positive impact on the lives of many students in Togo. The organization's focus on education, health, and community development contributes to the country's socioeconomic growth. The recent donation in Doufelgou is a testament to the organization's dedication to making a difference in the lives of Togolese people.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment to supporting education in Togo. AS.Vie-Togo's efforts to provide school supplies and promote academic excellence are expected to have a lasting impact on the students and the community. The organization's work serves as a reminder of the importance of collaborative efforts to address the challenges facing education in Togo.
