Three people were arrested by the Brigade territorial police of Afagnan (P/Bas-Mono) for suspected involvement in a cybercrime network operating in organized groups. Several other suspects are actively being searched for.
Victim's experience
A victim who escaped the network returned to Togo on August 15, 2026. The victim met N. Mazama-Esso, 35 years old, through Facebook in 2025 and was later forced to participate in the network's activities in Nigeria.
The victim was forced to recruit new victims as part of the network's activities.
