In a significant boost to education in the Doufelgou district of Togo, 230 meritorious and needy students from five primary schools and Agbandé College have received school kits. The kits were distributed on September 19 in Niamtougou, a locality in the Doufelgou 1 commune. This initiative aims to support students from families in precarious social situations, helping to alleviate the financial burden of schooling.

The school kits provided to the beneficiaries comprise essential items such as school bags, notebooks, blue, green, and red pens, ordinary and colored pencils, geometric sets, and boxes of white and colored chalks. The distribution of these kits is a collaborative effort by the Cadre de référence d'Agbandé (CRA), the Union pour le développement d'Agbandé (UDA), and the Amicale des enseignants originaires d'Agbandé (AEOA). These organizations are working together to promote excellence in education and support vulnerable families.

The initiative behind the school kit distribution is rooted in the desire to accompany the efforts of students, parents, and teachers while contributing to the reduction of financial burdens on vulnerable families. By providing these essential educational tools, the organizers aim to foster an environment that encourages academic excellence. The event was attended by local authorities, who expressed their support for the initiative.

Banwame Yaboul, representing the Prefect of Doufelgou, commended the local initiative for valuing excellence and supporting the youth. He urged the students to cultivate humility, continuous work, and personal effort, emphasizing the importance of these values in achieving academic success. Additionally, he encouraged parents to ensure all their children are enrolled in school and to provide daily support.

Wourou Aba, representing the cadres of Agbandé, highlighted that this action demonstrates the commitment of local cadres and resource persons to the development of basic education, the fight against school dropout, and the success of the youth in Agbandé. He noted that this initiative aligns with the efforts of public authorities and local leaders to promote academic excellence.

The distribution of school kits to 230 students in Doufelgou is part of a broader effort to enhance educational outcomes in the region. By supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds, the initiative aims to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment. This event underscores the importance of community involvement in education and the role of local stakeholders in driving positive change.

The collaborative effort between CRA, UDA, and AEOA reflects a growing recognition of the need for community-driven initiatives in education. As the students begin the new academic year with their school kits, the focus shifts to sustaining the momentum and exploring further opportunities for educational development in the Doufelgou district.
