The municipal councils of Oti sud 1, Tandjouaré 1 and 2 in Togo's Savanes region have started their fourth ordinary sessions of 2026. As of September 30, 2026, the commune's operating revenues stood at 74,895,221 FCFA, against 63,521,156 FCFA in expenditures, resulting in a surplus of 11,374,063 FCFA.

The commune of Oti-Sud 1 has made several notable achievements, including the construction of a culvert in the Tchamonga canton and five water wells in various villages. Additionally, market hangars have been built in Gando and Sagbiebou, and construction of the Sagbiebou primary school enclosure has commenced. These developments were highlighted by the commune's mayor, Mme N’Gam Tchadame, during the session.

In the Tandjouaré 2 commune, located in Nano, the session covers the elaboration of the 2027 budget, presentation of community dialogue results, and strategies for mobilizing municipal taxes. The commune's mayor, Kanye Djangré, emphasized the need for a realistic, balanced, and sincere budget that considers population priorities, mobilization of own resources, and expenditure control.

The Tandjouaré 1 commune council will review the revenue situation as of September 30 and discuss the 2027 budget over a five-day period. The commune's mayor, Nam Pakindame, highlighted that budget preparation hinges on resource mobilization and citizen participation. He also urged citizens to support communal development, parents to ensure children's schooling, and motorcyclists to adhere to safety regulations.

Prefects or their representatives have called on commune actors to manage public resources rigorously and responsibly. They stressed the importance of improving revenue mobilization, monitoring expenditures, and preparing a realistic 2027 budget aligned with available resources and population priorities.
