The Lions International district 403 A2 recently convened its second cabinet meeting in Lomé, Togo, to evaluate the progress of its activities for the 2026-2027 mandate. The meeting, which took place on October 10, brought together around sixty delegates from Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Togo, both in person and online. The meeting aimed to assess the district's performance after a quarter of its mandate.

During the meeting, Governor Ayité Mawulolo Hillah emphasized that the first cabinet meeting had adopted the mandate's objectives and budget, while the second meeting focused on evaluating the district's progress. The participants examined reports from various entities and the action plan, highlighting the real impacts of the actions taken in the regions and zones. The mid-term evaluation revealed a satisfactory balance with strong mobilization and commitment from all members.

Despite challenges related to the geopolitical environment in each country, the Lions remain committed to serving their communities. The governor noted that some difficulties, such as irregular attendance in clubs and issues with contributions, had been encountered. However, the district had made significant progress, including providing financing for projects through its foundation and constructing hospitals and schools.

The governor highlighted some notable interventions during the mandate, including support for the Togo region, which was affected by severe flooding two months ago. The district's foundation provided $15,000 to help the affected populations, particularly in the Golfe 2 and 4 communes. The governor also announced an upcoming project to make Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, and Liberia independent districts next year.

The meeting was attended by the First Vice-Governor from Côte d'Ivoire and the Second Vice-Governor from Liberia, as well as regional, zone, and commission presidents.
