The Jagaba/Dauda Students' Mandate 2027, Zamfara state chapter, has initiated a Campus Ambassadors programme to rally students across the state's tertiary institutions behind the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dauda Lawal in 2027. This move aims to engage students, organize campus discussions, and highlight education-related programmes and interventions implemented by the federal and Zamfara state governments.

At the launch of the initiative, Comrade Bilyaminu Badarawa, the convener, emphasized that the programme is a strategic platform for reaching out to Zamfara's student population and drawing attention to developments in the education sector. According to him, the mandate is rooted in tangible and verifiable achievements in the education sector that have directly impacted Nigerian students and the people of Zamfara state.

The group cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) student-loan scheme as one of the major education initiatives of the Tinubu administration. As of August 2026, NELFUND reported that it had processed over 1.6 million student-loan applications and disbursed more than N322 billion. This scheme is part of the efforts to support students financially and improve access to education.

In addition to the student-loan scheme, the group highlighted the administration's investments in technical and vocational education and training, research, infrastructure, and institutional support. The federal government's efforts to address disruptions in tertiary education were also noted. These initiatives aim to improve the overall quality of education and provide opportunities for students to acquire skills and knowledge.

The administration's agreement with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) was also mentioned as a significant achievement. This agreement, which was reached after a 16-year crisis, led to improved salaries, allowances, pensions, research funding, and working conditions for university staff. This development has contributed to a more stable and conducive academic environment.

The event concluded with a call for students across Zamfara state to support the Tinubu and Lawal tickets in the 2027 elections. The newly inaugurated Campus Ambassadors pledged to mobilize students and young people across tertiary institutions in the state. This move is expected to increase awareness and support for the candidates among the student population.

The Campus Ambassadors Initiative is set to play a crucial role in engaging students and promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration and Governor Lawal's government. By highlighting the positive developments in the education sector, the group aims to encourage students to participate in the electoral process and make informed decisions about their future leaders.
