Thousands of women in Rivers State, under the National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON), staged a rally in Port Harcourt to demonstrate their support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections. The march, which started from Market Junction along the Aba/Port Harcourt Express Road, moved through major streets in the city before terminating at the APC state secretariat, Aba Road, Port Harcourt. The women, who described themselves as mothers and foot soldiers for the APC, expressed their determination to ensure that all APC candidates receive a minimum of fifty votes per unit during the elections.

Addressing newsmen at the party secretariat, Mrs. Rebecca Odoh, leader of the women wing of NACLFON, stated that the women were committed to ensuring Tinubu's re-election to enable him to continue his work of transforming the country. She said the group has coordinators in all units and wards in the state, and with continuous mobilization, they aim to achieve fifty votes per unit for all APC candidates. The group has also commenced a door-to-door campaign across the local government areas of the state.

The state Coordinator of NACLFON, Archbishop Lucky Aroh, said the rally was part of the mobilization efforts to ensure victory for all APC candidates during the elections. He stated that the national president of NACLFON, Professor Peter Abraham, had declared that the forum would deliver 50 votes per unit for all APC candidates, and that the women wing was working hard to realize this goal.

Archbishop Aroh also announced plans by the forum to hold an Operation Show Your PVC at Igboukwu field, D/Line, Port Harcourt, by November this year. This event aims to encourage people to collect and show their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), which is a crucial step in the electoral process.

The Deputy Coordinator (South South) of National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria, Archbishop Prince Gideon, expressed confidence that the group would deliver all APC candidates in the zone in the 2027 elections. He said the rally at Igboukwu field would be massive, with all states in the zone in attendance.

The NACLFON women's wing has queued into the vision of delivering 50 votes per unit for all APC candidates, and they are working hard to ensure the realization of this goal. The group believes that with their mobilization efforts, they can make a significant impact in the 2027 general elections.
