On October 31, 2026, thousands of people gathered in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, to reaffirm their support for President Ibrahim Traoré and the Revolutionary People's Party (RPP). The event, organized by the National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC-Houet), took place at the Tiéfo Amoro Square. Participants included people from various localities in the Guiriko region, such as young people, women, men, students, and traditional and religious leaders.

Representatives from various groups, including women, students, villages, sectors, arrondissements, and provinces, expressed their commitment to the RPP. The participants waved Burkinabé flags and wore T-shirts and wrappers with the president's image, demonstrating their support for the government's policies.

The general motion of support, read by CNAVC-Houet Secretary General Moussa Traoré, stated that the participants reaffirmed their "total, unconditional, and without reserve" support for the RPP. The motion emphasized the participants' commitment to the ideals of national sovereignty, dignity of the Burkinabé people, state refoundation, and endogenous development. They also praised initiatives aimed at strengthening Burkina Faso's autonomy, valorizing national resources, and promoting local production.

The participants encouraged continued efforts to restore peace and protect populations, and called for responsible citizen mobilization against disinformation and hate speech.

Lieutenant-Colonel Lassané Porgo, commander of the second military region, attended the event and emphasized the need for sincere engagement from the population in supporting the authorities and forces fighting on the ground.
