The Akany Iarivo mivoy (AIM) project, implemented in the capital region of Madagascar, has achieved significant results over the past six years. A total of 91 vulnerable individuals have benefited from direct support, aiming to improve their livelihoods. This initiative is a collaborative effort between various partners, including the Association sœur Emmanuelle (Asmae), the Commune of Antananarivo Renivohitra, Fondation Axian, and Association internationale des Charités (AIC).
The support provided by the AIM project includes training and empowerment programs, particularly for women. Twenty women benefited from a 10-day training on entrepreneurship, enabling them to develop their projects and enhance their income-generating activities. According to Andriamiarana Vatosoa Rehareha, head of the Asmae organization, the project has made a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable households.
The AIM project's objectives extend beyond providing direct support to vulnerable individuals. It also aims to reintegrate vulnerable households into the community and promote their self-sufficiency. A total of 935 individuals have received support, and 89 children have been enrolled in school, with 37 of them attending the EPP Anosibe, a partner institution.
The project's impact is not limited to the beneficiaries alone. It has also contributed to the capacity building of various stakeholders, enabling them to develop their skills and implement projects that benefit the community. The project's partners, including the Commune of Antananarivo Renivohitra, Fondation Axian, and AIC, have expressed their commitment to continuing their support.
One of the project's key focuses is on empowering women and promoting their autonomy. A specific platform has been created to support women, enabling them to enhance their skills and increase their income-generating activities. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the socio-economic status of women in the region.
The AIM project has received support from the Région Ile-de-France, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing social and economic challenges. The project's success has been attributed to the synergy between various partners, who have worked together to achieve its objectives.
As the project continues to make progress, its partners are committed to sustaining their efforts and expanding their support to more vulnerable individuals. The project's achievements serve as a testament to the impact that collaborative initiatives can have on improving the lives of those in need.
