IFAL is a flagship event of the African Leadership Magazine, convened annually on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly. The forum brings together heads of state, policymakers, investors, and private-sector leaders from Africa and the Caribbean to strengthen trans-regional cooperation, trade, and investment. This year's event promises to be a platform for meaningful discussions and collaborations.

Mr. Tadesse's keynote address will be part of the opening plenary, which will also feature special presentations by H.E. Ahunna Eziakonwa, UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Adviser on Africa, and Dr. John Panonetsa Mangudya, Chief Executive Officer of Zimbabwe's Mutapa Investment Fund. The event will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with thought leaders and shape the future of African-Caribbean relations.

The African Leadership Magazine has announced several winners for the 2025 African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA), showcasing excellence in various fields. The awards recognize outstanding contributions to economic policy, private sector advocacy, health, and institutional development. The magazine continues to play a vital role in promoting African leadership and excellence.

IFAL 2026 will also feature other notable speakers, including Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema and former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete. The event will provide a platform for leaders to share their insights and experiences, fostering greater cooperation and understanding between Africa and the Caribbean.
