Tata Motors South Africa has introduced the facelifted Tata Punch, an entry-level crossover that first arrived in the market in September 2025. Initially, the model was offered in four variants priced between R244,900 and R339,900. However, the updated range launches with three models, starting at a reduced price of R224,900. The new variants offer customers a more affordable option in the competitive crossover segment.

The updated Tata Punch range offers two powertrain options. The Pure+ and Adventure models are equipped with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 65kW and 115Nm. This engine features City and Eco drive modes and is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. In contrast, the range-topping Accomplished+ S model boasts a turbocharged variant of the engine, delivering 88kW and 170Nm, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a Sport mode.

The Tata Punch features a range of standard amenities, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, and a seven-inch driver instrument cluster. The models also come with a two-spoke steering wheel and an eight-inch display or a larger 10.25-inch HD Harman infotainment system with 360-degree surround-view and reversing camera. The Accomplished+ S model upgrades to the larger digital interfaces and adds a voice-activated sunroof.

The refreshed Tata Punch boasts a new front-end design, aligning with Tata Motors' edgy new corporate styling. The updated design features LED headlamps and daytime running lights, a redesigned 3D front grille, and an integrated bull guard bumper. At the rear, the crossover features infinity glow LED taillight clusters and a trail guard rear skid plate. Customers can choose from 16-inch alloy wheels and a range of bright exterior paint colors.

Safety is a key focus for the Tata Punch, with features such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill hold assist, hill descent control, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The new Tata Punch models come standard with a five-year/125,000km warranty and a two-year/30,000km service plan, providing customers with peace of mind.

The updated Tata Punch range offers customers a more affordable and feature-packed option in the entry-level crossover segment. With its new powertrain options, refreshed design, and range of standard features, the Tata Punch is poised to compete with established players in the market. The crossover's reduced pricing and comprehensive warranty and service plan make it an attractive option for buyers.
