The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has announced the schedule for the Simba Sports Club elections, set to take place on January 30, 2027, in Dar es Salaam. According to the announcement made on November 6, 2026, the election process will follow Article 37 of the Simba Sports Club Constitution of 2018, along with amendments approved by the club's members on February 18, 2026.
The election process is set to begin on November 16-20, 2026, with the issuance and submission of candidate nomination forms. The TFF Electoral Committee will then verify the forms from November 21-23, 2026. November 25-26 has been allocated for appeals from candidates who are rejected. On November 27, the committee will announce the list of candidates who meet the requirements and accept objections.
The TFF Electoral Committee will receive objections on November 28-29, 2026, before processing and hearing them in subsequent stages. The committee has scheduled December 4-5, 2026, for candidate interviews, with December 6 set for decisions on objections. On December 7, the committee will announce the final list of candidates who meet the requirements.
The appeals process will run from December 8-12, 2026, with the TFF Appeals Committee hearing appeals from December 13-17 and making decisions on December 18. On December 19, the Secretariat will present ethics cases to the Ethics Committee. The Ethics Committee will hear cases from December 20-24 and make decisions on December 25.
From December 26-30, 2026, appeals against the Ethics Committee's decisions will be submitted to the Appeals Committee. The Appeals Committee will hear these appeals from December 31, 2026, to January 4, 2027, and make decisions on January 5, 2027. On January 6, 2027, the Electoral Committee will announce the final list of candidates who meet the requirements.
Campaigning for the Simba Sports Club elections is set to begin on January 7, 2027, and will run until January 29, 2027. The positions up for election include one chairperson and five members of the Board of Directors. Nomination forms can be obtained from TFF offices in Dar es Salaam and Simba Sports Club offices from November 16-20, 2026.
