TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola has announced the opening of ticket sales for its new route between Luanda and Praia, the capital of Cabo Verde. The flights will operate with two weekly frequencies, departing from Luanda on Mondays and Saturdays, and returning on Tuesdays and Sundays. This new route is part of TAAG's strategy to establish Luanda as a major air connection hub in Africa.

The flights are set to begin on December 12, with a travel time of approximately four hours per route. The operation will be primarily carried out by Airbus A220-300 aircraft, which can accommodate 137 passengers, including 12 in Premium Class and 125 in Economy Class. This new route will enable passengers from Cabo Verde to access TAAG's domestic network and other African and international destinations through Luanda's Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport.

The Luanda-Praia route is the first phase of a more extensive regional project, which plans to extend the connection to Dakar, Senegal in 2027. The commercialization of this segment will begin after obtaining the necessary authorizations from Senegalese civil aviation authorities and completing applicable operational procedures. TAAG's expansion into the region aims to strengthen its presence in the Community of Portuguese Language Countries.

According to TAAG, the inclusion of Praia in its destination network complements its existing operations to Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, and São Tomé and Príncipe. The airline is focused on providing more travel options to its customers and reinforcing its position in the African market. Passengers can book tickets through TAAG's website, mobile app, call center, or at travel agencies.

The introduction of the Luanda-Praia route is expected to boost tourism and business travel between Angola and Cabo Verde. The two countries have a long-standing relationship, and this new route will facilitate travel for citizens and visitors alike. TAAG's decision to launch this route demonstrates its commitment to expanding its presence in West Africa.

TAAG's Airbus A220-300 aircraft are equipped with modern amenities and offer a comfortable flying experience. The airline's Premium Class and Economy Class cabins cater to different passenger needs, providing a range of options for travelers. With its expanding route network, TAAG aims to become a leading airline in Africa.

Ticket sales for the Luanda-Praia route are now open, and passengers can book their flights through various channels. The airline encourages customers to provide feedback and suggestions on its services. With its new route, TAAG is poised to strengthen its position in the African aviation market and provide more travel options to its customers.
