Swiss watchmaker Hautlence has introduced the Sphere Series 5, a new addition to its collection of innovative timepieces. The watch features a rectangular titanium case with a satin and polished finish, measuring 37mm in width, 45mm in length, and 17.4mm in thickness. The watch boasts a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and beveled edges, providing a clear view of the intricate mechanics.
The Sphere Series 5 showcases a distinctive all-white aesthetic with gray and metallic accents. A titanium sphere on the left side of the dial displays the hours, rotating on multiple axes to present the correct hour. The sphere is coated with white and features engraved numerals filled with gray Super-LumiNova. In contrast, a retrograde minute hand made of micro-beaded brass sweeps across a 180-degree sector on the right side of the dial.
The watch is powered by the A82 caliber, a manual winding mechanical movement developed in collaboration with sister brand H. Moser & Cie. The movement features a jumping hour mechanism, with the sphere rotating around three axes to display the correct hour. The A82 caliber comprises 160 components and 31 jewels, oscillating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
One of the notable features of the Sphere Series 5 is its 72-hour power reserve, allowing the watch to run for three days without needing to be rewound. The watch also includes a safety mechanism to protect the complex construction. The dial and transparent case back provide a view of the intricate mechanics that power the unique display.
The Hautlence Sphere Series 5 is a limited edition of 28 pieces worldwide. The watch will be exclusively available in Mexico for the first 30 days after its launch at the SIAR de Mexico, with an additional feature of three interchangeable alligator leather straps in white, green, and red.
After the exclusivity period, the watch will be available in other markets with a single white strap. The official price of the Sphere Series 5 is set at 72,200 Swiss francs before taxes. The final price may vary depending on local taxes and fees.
The Hautlence Sphere Series 5 is a testament to the brand's innovative approach to watchmaking, pushing the boundaries of traditional timepiece design. With its unique spherical hour display and retrograde minute hand, this limited-edition timepiece is sure to appeal to collectors and connoisseurs of haute horlogerie.
