The I&N Partners Classic golf tournament is set to take place at Sigona Golf Club on October 9-10, with over 250 golfers from various sectors in Kenya expected to participate. The two-day tournament, which was first held in 2024, will feature both professional and amateur golfers, creating a mix of competitive play and social interaction on the course. This year's event is themed "Strengthening Partnerships through Service" and will be held during Customer Service Week.
The organisers, Attorneys Africa, aim to provide a platform for their clientele to showcase their products and services, as well as facilitate networking and face-to-face customer engagements. The tournament has established itself as an annual meeting point for golfers, business leaders, clients, and partners, combining sport with an opportunity to build and strengthen relationships. According to David Njoroge, a partner at Attorneys Africa, the event is expected to be bigger than the last two editions.
Zipporah Gichigi emerged as the overall winner in last year's tournament held at the same venue, with Lewis Muriithi and Trevor Kimenye winning the Division II and guest titles respectively. The tournament will feature at least fifteen pros and elite amateur golfers who will compete for cash prizes. Sigona resident pro C.J Wangai believes he is well prepared and looking forward to an exciting outing.
The tournament will offer prizes for grabs throughout the competition, including two vehicles for successful hole-in-one shots. David Njoroge stated that the organisers are leaving nothing to chance to ensure the event is exciting for clients and golfers. The event will take place during the Mazingira Day weekend.
Habil Waswani, acting Kenya Airways CEO and an ardent golfer, praised the efforts by the organisers to roll out the tournament for the third year running, terming it a positive move towards networking and appreciation to customers at large. Waswani has participated in the last two editions of the tournament.
The I&N Partners Classic tournament has established itself as an annual series, with plans to continue growing and improving each year. The event provides a unique opportunity for golfers, business leaders, and clients to come together and build relationships.
As the tournament approaches, golfers and clients are looking forward to an exciting and competitive event. With a strong field of participants and attractive prizes, the 2026 IN Classic golf tournament is set to be a memorable experience for all involved.
