A South African woman, Nqobile Mkhize, has launched a campaign to empower women to stand up against abuse and violence. The campaign, called Be That Strong Woman, aims to equip women with the skills and knowledge to defend themselves against exploitation and violence. Mkhize, a drama queen from Mandeni, said she started the campaign to help women gain confidence and strength in the face of adversity.

Mkhize's campaign has already reached several provinces, with the latest event held in Mpangeni at Cloud 7 Lifestyle. The event brought together women and experts, including Phile Mkhwanazi, Muzi Jobe, Xolani Mpungose, and Mama Wesizwe Sothando, to discuss topics such as self-defense and economic empowerment. Mkhize said the campaign focuses on issues such as violence against women, which has become a scourge in South Africa.

Mkhize chose to protect her niece, who later became pregnant at the age of 17. She also lost her best friend, who took her husband.

Mkhize's troubles did not end there. She lost her wealth, job, house, and car due to her divorce. However, she managed to turn her life around with the help of her appearances on oKhozini and a podcast. These platforms helped her to gain confidence and establish the Be That Strong Woman NPC, which aims to empower women.
