The South African Football Association (SAFA) has issued a request for proposal (RFP) for the supply, maintenance, and support of a 32-seater mini bus. The bus will primarily be used for the transportation of players, technical staff, and equipment for the SAFA Girls Academy. The RFP, numbered SAFA/RFP/GA/MB/2026/01, was issued on October 9, 2026, and interested service providers have until October 23, 2026, to submit their proposals.

The successful bidder will be required to provide a brand new or low-mileage mini bus that meets South African regulations and is equipped with necessary safety features. The bus should be capable of carrying 32 passengers, including the driver. The service provider will also be responsible for scheduled servicing, providing spare parts, repairs, warranties, and technical support. The bus will be used for daily transportation of players to and from school, training sessions, and football matches within Gauteng.

To qualify for the tender, service providers must be based in Gauteng and possess a valid B-BBEE certificate or affidavit, SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN, and CIPC registration documents. They must also demonstrate relevant experience in the field and provide at least two client references. The proposal should include a company profile, Gauteng address, contact details, vehicle specifications, mileage, warranty details, maintenance arrangements, spare parts support, and detailed pricing.

The evaluation of proposals will be based on several criteria, including compliance, suitability of the vehicle, condition and mileage, maintenance support, experience, B-BBEE status, and value for money. SAFA reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and is not obliged to accept the lowest-priced offer. Late submissions will not be considered, and proposals must be emailed to [email protected] with a specific subject line.

The SAFA Girls Academy is a key initiative that aims to develop the skills and talents of young female footballers in South Africa. The provision of a reliable and safe mode of transportation is essential to the success of the academy.
