Dr. Alfred Veenod Fullah, Chairman of the Sierra Leone Advocacy Movement (SLAM) – Global, has announced that the organisation aims to elevate the voices and welfare of the Sierra Leonean people. The launch of SLAM – Global took place in Virginia, USA, on 19 September 2026, attracting a large crowd of Sierra Leoneans from across the United States and Canada. The UK-based organisation has gained recognition since its inception two years ago.
SLAM – Global operates independently of any political party, neither aligned with the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) nor the opposition All People’s Congress (APC). Dr. Fullah emphasised that SLAM was formed to provide a platform for the voices of Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad. The organisation is committed to addressing the struggles of those facing hardship, injustice, or lack of opportunity.
