Several development projects and public facilities worth MAD 257.7 million have been inaugurated or launched in Marrakech, Morocco, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Glorious Unity Day. The projects were launched by the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, Governor of the Marrakech prefecture, Khatib El Hebil, in the presence of various officials, elected representatives, local authorities, and civil society actors. These projects aim to strengthen infrastructure and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.

One of the key projects is the development of the November 16th Square in the Guéliz neighborhood, which includes the construction of a two-level underground parking lot with a total area of approximately 9,532 m2 and a capacity for 429 cars and 80 motorcycles. The project, carried out by the Marrakech Commune, has a budget of nearly MAD 98 million and involves reorganizing the public space, creating green spaces and pedestrian walkways, and installing urban equipment.

The November 16th Square project also aims to improve the accessibility of the parking lot to reduce traffic congestion. According to architect Abderrahim Kassou, this project is part of the efforts to improve public spaces and enhance the aesthetic attractiveness of the city center. The parking lot has two levels and can accommodate 383 cars and 150 motorcycles. The parking lot is equipped with an intelligent management system, electric and hybrid vehicle charging stations, and photovoltaic solar panels that can provide up to 60% of the infrastructure's energy autonomy. The project also includes green spaces, an interior courtyard, and security and fire prevention equipment.
