The seventh edition of the 'بعُيُونِهِنّ' international film festival for women is set to take place from October 3-7, 2026, in the Tunisian cities of Nabeul and Hammamet. This year's edition will feature 19 films from nine countries, showcasing the works of 19 female directors. The festival's theme is inspired by the song "إيه.. في أمل" by Lebanese artist Fairouz.
The participating countries include Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. Tunisia will be represented by three films: the documentary "الطماطم الملعونة" by Marwa Tayyiba, and two narrative films, "سالوبات" by Ferial Ben Bobier and "éphémère" by Sarah Ben Ammar.
Algeria will participate with four films, including the narrative film "ما وراء البحر" by Inas Daif, and two documentaries, "أصوات" by Sirine Achir and "عساسات الليل" by Nina Khadda. Morocco will be represented by four films: "عم تسبح" by Lylia Rahal, "حدائق الجنة" by Sonia Tarb, "المينة" by Randa Maaroufi, and "عايشة" by Sanaa Allaloui.
Libya, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon will also be represented at the festival. Libya will participate with the documentary "ألوان" by Nora Ali, while Palestine will be represented by the documentary "نسيج" by Bayan Abu Tameh. Egypt will participate with two narrative films: "كل سنة وأنتي طيبة يا مامتي" by Jomana Nasser and "أحلام دندرة" by Sabrine El-Hasami.
Jordan will participate with two narrative films: "حتتذكريني؟" by Dhuha Al-Atamneh and "DIVINE SECRET" by Saba Yunes. Syria will be represented by the narrative film "ما بقي إلا الحكي" by Joyce Ouscka, while Lebanon will participate with two films: the narrative film "FROM DISTANCE CHICKENS TEETH" by Rafqa Al-Hilu, and "حائكات الأرض" by Rima Qadisi.
