Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced the extension of One UI 9 to more Samsung Galaxy devices, with the rollout beginning on September 16 with the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. This update offers a more seamless mobile experience, along with enhanced Galaxy AI, which is more intuitive, personalized, and useful. One UI 9 was initially introduced on Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8.
One UI 9 introduces new features that help users capture images, personalize, and manage their data. The My FanCam feature automatically tracks a selected person in a recorded video and keeps them in focus, intelligently cropping the image as they move around the scene. This allows users to turn dynamic moments into social media-ready content with less manual editing.
The new Generative and Editable Cards on Now Brief enable users to choose what appears in their daily summaries. Users can create cards focused on wellness, weather, and videos, so their daily recap reflects the most relevant information for them. Additionally, Warranty and Care integrates device assistance and protection directly into the Settings menu.
One UI 9 builds on familiar Samsung Galaxy experiences to help users efficiently accomplish daily tasks. Context-adapted suggestions and creative ideas are proposed at the right moment, along with improvements to translation, scanning, and recording, all of which help users get things done with less effort.
Enhanced features in One UI 9 allow users to do more while expending less effort. Now Nudge can propose timely and context-adapted suggestions more frequently, helping users move to the next step without disrupting their experience. Creative Studio suggests image generation ideas based on upcoming events, allowing users to quickly create personalized content.
One UI 9 also focuses on security and privacy, incorporating transparency, choice, and control into the user experience. The latest updates help users better understand when an issue may require their attention and enable them to take action more easily. Security Brief integrates essential security and privacy updates into Now Brief, such as malware alerts and permission notifications.
With One UI 9, Samsung continues to prioritize user security and privacy. Enhanced Privacy Alerts use integrated AI to identify privacy risks, such as unnecessary background permission attempts, allowing users to better understand how their information is accessed. Scam Detection also expands to new countries and languages, offering protection against potential fraudulent calls to more Samsung Galaxy users on supported markets.
