Rwandan musician R. Tuty has announced plans to return to Kigali at the end of the year with two new albums, 'Umufatangwe' and 'Nd'Umugisha'. Currently based in Belgium, R. Tuty revealed that he has been working on the albums separately to convey unique messages. The first album, 'Umufatangwe', consists of eight tracks focused on worship and praise, while the second album, 'Nd'Umugisha', features 15 tracks centered around love and life.
According to R. Tuty, 'Umufatangwe' is an album he has been preparing for a long time, and he made a promise to God to complete it while still in Rwanda. The album's tracks, including 'Imana Nyamana', 'Intsinzi ni Yesu', and 'Mu nda ya Mama', aim to spread a message of faith and strength through God's word. R. Tuty also plans to rework some of his favorite songs by other artists and include them in the album.
R. Tuty's 'Umufatangwe' album will be produced in the Afrobeat genre, with Producer Fazzo collaborating with other producers to ensure a high-quality output. In contrast, 'Nd'Umugisha' focuses on love, life, and traditional Rwandan music, with three tracks showcasing the country's cultural heritage. One of the tracks, 'Sirimuka', is dedicated to Rwanda's development and growth.
The 'Nd'Umugisha' album has been in the works for some time, but R. Tuty's busy schedule delayed its release. The album features a mix of new and reworked tracks, including 'Savana', 'Yombi Yambi', and 'Akageso', which R. Tuty believes can be reinterpreted in a modern style. He also plans to collaborate with other artists, a departure from his usual solo work.
During his visit to Rwanda, R. Tuty plans to meet with fans, perform at concerts, and visit schools, including Saint Joseph Kabgayi. He also intends to revisit the Muhanga football field, where he played football three years ago, and Hanika football club, where he has fond memories.
R. Tuty expressed his excitement to return to Rwanda, a country he deeply misses. His two albums, 'Umufatangwe' and 'Nd'Umugisha', showcase his musical versatility and commitment to conveying meaningful messages through his art. By separating the albums, R. Tuty aims to give each theme its own unique platform.
R. Tuty's decision to create two distinct albums stems from his desire to avoid mixing different styles and messages. He believes that 'Umufatangwe' and 'Nd'Umugisha' can coexist as separate entities, allowing him to connect with a wider audience and share his music with fans in Rwanda and beyond.
