Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has chosen French technology group Thales to digitalize its flight operations through a five-year agreement. This partnership will equip RAM pilots with electronic flight management tools as the airline aims to expand its fleet to 200 aircraft by 2037. Thales will provide RAM with AvioBook Flight, an electronic flight bag (EFB) solution developed by AvioBook, a Thales Group company.

The AvioBook Flight solution is designed to improve operational efficiency, support fuel optimization, and streamline workflows between pilots and ground staff. The platform aims to strengthen flight safety, support regulatory compliance, and reduce aircraft turnaround times. Its integration with back-office systems will help airlines coordinate flight operations more efficiently. According to Thales, AvioBook has implemented its solutions across 70 airlines worldwide.

Frédéric Dru, CEO of AvioBook, a Thales Group Company, expressed pride in providing Royal Air Maroc with market-leading software solutions that align with the airline's digitalization and expansion plans. He looks forward to contributing to RAM's evolution, positioning high technology at the heart of its development. This agreement reflects Thales' commitment to supporting Morocco's aviation ambitions through digital solutions.

Thales' CEO in Morocco, Yan Levy, emphasized the group's commitment to supporting Morocco's aviation sector through innovation and local engagement. He stated that Thales remains fully aligned with Morocco's vision for a modern, resilient, and globally connected aviation sector. The deal marks a new stage in the long-standing relationship between Thales and Royal Air Maroc.

The partnership between Thales and Royal Air Maroc includes cooperation in in-flight entertainment, aircraft maintenance, and cybersecurity. RAM's fleet expansion is part of its broader development strategy as Morocco seeks to strengthen its position as an international aviation hub. The adoption of digital flight management tools adds another element to RAM's efforts to modernize its operations.

Royal Air Maroc's expansion plan targets 200 aircraft by 2037, and the airline is pursuing this goal through various partnerships and agreements. The deal with Thales is a significant step in this direction, as it will enhance RAM's operational efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability. Morocco is also investing in other aviation projects, including the development of a modern and resilient aviation sector.

The agreement between Royal Air Maroc and Thales demonstrates the growing importance of digital solutions in the aviation industry. As airlines expand their fleets and operations, they are increasingly turning to technology to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The partnership between RAM and Thales is a notable example of this trend, and it is expected to have a positive impact on Morocco's aviation sector.
