The Egyptian Ministry of Housing, through the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Fund, has unveiled the necessary documents for applicants to reserve rental units under the presidential initiative "Housing for All Egyptians 9". This latest announcement includes 15,000 available housing units, with applications open until October 28, 2026. Interested parties can submit their applications through the Egypt Digital Platform.
To apply, prospective renters must first complete and sign a reservation form for the housing unit, along with an acknowledgment statement, both of which are included in the application package. These documents, along with a receipt for the insurance deposit, must be scanned and uploaded to the Egypt Digital Platform in PDF format, with a maximum file size of 2MB.
Required documents also include a valid copy of the applicant's and spouse's (if applicable) national ID cards. Additionally, applicants must provide proof of annual or monthly net income, which can be in the form of a certificate from their employer, detailing their position, work address, and net income, including any bonuses, allowances, and annual incentives.
For those with additional sources of income, such as agricultural or real estate properties, exceptional pensions, or financial assets like bonds, stocks, or savings accounts, supporting documents must be provided and certified. These documents should clearly state the applicant's or their family's net annual or monthly income.
Government and public sector employees are required to submit a certified certificate from their employer stating their basic data and net income. They must have been employed for at least six months. Private sector and company employees must also provide a certified certificate from their employer with their basic data and net income, along with a minimum employment period of six months.
Self-employed individuals, including professionals, business owners, and artisans, must provide documentation of their tax registration, a certificate from a certified public accountant detailing their net income, and a copy of their commercial register or tax card. They must have been in operation for at least 12 months.
Special considerations apply to widows, divorced women, and retirees, who must provide additional documentation such as proof of alimony, a recent utility bill, and, if applicable, a formal marriage certificate. Failure to provide the required documents will result in the application being rejected.
