ReachOut Nigeria has announced plans to distribute 100 million copies of Rhapsody of Realities across Nigeria as part of activities marking the 20th edition of its nationwide campaign. The campaign, themed “Celebrating 20 Years of Impact, Taking Rhapsody to Every Man’s World,” aims to cover all 774 local government areas in the country. This initiative is set to mark the nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
The October campaign will target various demographics, including adults, youths, teenagers, children, and people with accessibility needs in cities, towns, villages, and hinterlands. According to ReachOut Nigeria, the initiative began in 2007 with a vision to inspire hope, promote patriotism, and expose Nigerians to the Christian message. Over the years, the campaign has evolved beyond the distribution of the devotional into a broader movement involving humanitarian and community-development projects.
Rhapsody of Realities, authored by Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, is currently available in 8,123 languages and more than 4,000 dialects. The devotional is distributed in adult, teenage, and children’s editions, with print, digital, audio, Braille, and Sign Language formats designed to improve accessibility. For the 20th edition, ReachOut Nigeria will distribute the devotional in indigenous Nigerian languages and multiple formats, targeting 1,009 Nigerian languages, of which 650 are already represented in print.
The initiative will also include the provision of 200 boreholes in 200 communities, alongside other community-development projects. The organisers stated that activities throughout October would be anchored on 10 dimensions of impact, including crusades, church growth, community transformation, community reading outreaches, street expressions, conferences and exhibitions, concerts and praise experiences, games and youth activities, professional outreach, and school programmes.
Other activities lined up include community and end-time crusades, school outreaches, reading programmes, carnivals, floats and processions, concerts, sports and youth activities, conferences, and exhibitions. The programme will also feature a National Day of Prayer and 31 consecutive days of the ReachOut Nigeria Live Show. A special ReachOut Nigeria Symposium scheduled for October 30 will highlight the organisation’s two-decade journey, community interventions, innovations, and accounts of its impact.
The campaign is expected to take place across different spheres of Nigerian society, including offices, shops, schools, barracks, and communities, as well as public transportation systems such as buses, trains, and airplanes. ReachOut Nigeria stated that the 20th edition was designed not only to celebrate two decades of the initiative but also to renew its commitment to transforming lives while encouraging Nigerians to contribute to the development of their communities and the nation.
Twenty years after its launch, the campaign’s organisers are projecting the distribution of 100 million copies of Rhapsody of Realities nationwide under the banner: “Taking Rhapsody to Every Man’s World.” The organisation remains committed to its vision of inspiring hope and promoting patriotism through its various initiatives and community-development projects.
