The Range Rover Sport Electric has been unveiled in South Africa, four weeks after the Range Rover Electric made its global premiere. This new model is engineered to provide a more dynamic driving experience than its sister model. It features uniquely tuned intelligent traction management, virtual all-wheel drive, dynamic air suspension, and electronic active roll control. Additionally, it comes equipped with twin-valve dampers and Adaptive Dynamics 2, enhancing its handling capabilities.
The Sport Electric boasts an extra-rigid body shell, with a 61% stiffer body structure and a 73mm lower centre of gravity compared to Sport plug-in hybrid models. This contributes to its improved handling and stability. The vehicle is also capable of tackling challenging terrain, with a 900mm wading depth and the ability to climb 45° inclines. This makes it suitable for both on-road and off-road driving.
Powering the Sport Electric is a 118.5kWh lithium-ion battery with high power density, housed in a high-strength aluminium enclosure. This battery powers two 260kW electric motors, one on each axle, resulting in a combined output of 404kW and 850Nm of torque. With Dynamic Launch mode engaged, the vehicle can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds, a notable achievement considering its size and weight.

The vehicle is also compatible with the Range Rover app, allowing owners to remotely initiate cabin purification, activate the heated steering wheel, and check the battery's current charge status and projected driving range.
