QUORRA X5, a micro-mobility robot developed by global physical AI company QUORRA, has made its global debut at REHACARE International 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event, which opened on 23 September and ran until 26 September, is the world's leading trade fair for rehabilitation, prevention, inclusion, and care. QUORRA X5 is designed for Door-to-Door mobility scenarios and features advanced safety features and user-friendly design.
QUORRA X5 is equipped with five LiDAR sensors and front- and rear-facing cameras, which enable it to have real-time, 360-degree awareness of its surroundings. The robot uses fused LiDAR-vision perception and on-board AI to detect pedestrians, obstacles, steps, or uneven ground, and can decelerate and brake within milliseconds. It can also steer around obstacles and pass through narrow passages, and stops safely when the path ahead is impassable.
The QUORRA X5 features a range of innovative safety features, including drop-off protection, which applies smooth braking on detecting a change in ground level. The robot also has a Smart Cruise feature, which allows it to hold a set speed while avoiding obstacles without constant joystick input. Users can switch between "Sport" and "Comfort" driving modes with one tap on the 5-inch display, which shows real-time system status and key operating parameters.
QUORRA X5 has received two prestigious international design awards, the Red Dot Award: Design Concept and the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) presented by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). The robot's design retains a stable four-wheel chassis and joystick control, but adopts a foldable body and wraparound cockpit, shedding the clinical look of traditional mobility aids for consumer-electronics styling.
The QUORRA X5 is equipped with advanced technology, including over-the-air updates, which enable continuous improvement, and a rear-view camera and reversing collision-avoidance system, which brings the robot to a smooth, controlled stop. The high-end variant supports autonomous return-to-charge, and users can check battery level, online status, and real-time location, and operate the robot via Bluetooth remote control within effective range using the iQUORRA app.
The QUORRA X5 has obtained the necessary certifications, including CE marking for the European Union and UKCA marking for the United Kingdom, meeting the safety and technical standards of global markets. Caregivers can also define safe activity areas and receive instant alerts if the robot leaves preset boundaries using the "Safe Zone" geofencing feature.
QUORRA X5 is set to revolutionize the mobility aid industry with its advanced safety features, user-friendly design, and innovative technology. With its global debut at REHACARE International 2026, the robot is expected to generate significant interest among industry professionals and users alike.
