The Imodi-Ijebu Muslim Community is set to hold a turbaning ceremony on October 10, 2026, at the Tititlayo Agbaje Memorial Comprehensive High School in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State. The event will feature the installation of 20 Muslim community leaders into various Islamic titles. Notable attendees include Baba Adeen of Lagos, Alhaji Sikiru Alabi-Macfoy, and Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai.

The list of guests has grown to include Vice President of the Northern States Council of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Alhaji Najeemdeen Usman Yasin, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mabtech Electrical Engineering Services Limited, Alhaji Engr Abdul Waheed Yusuf. MTN Nigeria Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, Mr Modupe Kadri, and Ogun State APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, are also expected to attend.

The turbaning ceremony will honor 20 distinguished sons and daughters of the community with Islamic titles. Among the recipients is former Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Science, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Dr Chief Abdulfattah Owolabi Olufowobi, who will receive the Baba Adeen of Imodi-Ijebu title. Other notable recipients include Alhaji Tajudeen Adegboyega Adebanjo and Alhaji Ishaq Sanni.

The event will also feature a ₦1 billion fundraising drive for education and empowerment. The initiative aims to strengthen educational opportunities and create avenues for empowerment within the community, particularly for young people. This effort is part of the community's broader goal to invest in human capital and build a stronger future for Imodi-Ijebu.

Imodi-Ijebu has a rich Islamic heritage, with Islamic scholarship, worship, and education playing significant roles in the community's development. The growth of Islam in the community has been sustained through the contributions of Imams, scholars, families, and community leaders who have supported religious education and the establishment of Muslim institutions.
