Detectives are investigating an incident where a 25-year-old man, Tonny Omondi, died at Kenyatta National Hospital after he was allegedly stabbed by a colleague at their workplace in Eastleigh, Nairobi. The incident occurred on September 27 while Omondi was working as a loader with his colleagues. According to police, the alleged assailant has only been identified as Idris, who is reportedly a Ugandan national.

Witnesses reported that Omondi had gone to the store to inquire about his trousers, which Idris was allegedly wearing, leading to a confrontation. Omondi's father, Bernard Omondi, received a phone call from one of his son's colleagues informing him that Tony had been stabbed. Bernard stated that the colleague told him Tony had a confrontation with someone at work and he had been stabbed. Tony's sister, Juliet Omondi, rushed to the scene and found her brother had already received first aid at a nearby clinic but was still in considerable pain.

Juliet reported that when she arrived, she found Tony had received first aid and was lying in a charcoal store, but he still looked weak. Police later received a report at about 8:05 pm that Omondi had succumbed while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.
