Pride Bank has partnered with Interswitch to expand access to convenient, secure, and affordable banking services for customers across Uganda. The partnership brings together Pride Bank's commitment to accessible financial services and Interswitch's payments infrastructure. This collaboration aims to give customers more ways to access, manage, and use their money closer to where they live, work, and do business.

Through this partnership, Pride Bank customers will benefit from two key solutions: Quickteller Agency Banking and the rollout of Pride Bank Verve Debit Cards. Quickteller Agency Banking extends selected banking services through Interswitch's network of more than 21,000 agents across Uganda. The Verve Debit Cards will connect customers to a wider network of ATMs and payment acceptance points.

Quickteller Agency Banking allows Pride Bank to extend selected banking services beyond traditional branches and closer to communities across Uganda. Customers can access everyday services, including cash deposits, withdrawals, loan repayments, and bill payments, through participating Quickteller agents. This provides greater convenience for customers who may not be located near a Pride Bank branch.

The agency network also creates opportunities for participating businesses to offer financial services within their communities while generating additional income through commissions and increased customer traffic. This service is particularly beneficial for traders, farmers, small business owners, and bodaboda riders, who can manage everyday financial transactions while going about their business.

Veronica Namagembe, the Managing Director of Pride Bank, stated that the partnership reflects the bank's commitment to making financial services more accessible to the communities it serves and responsive to the needs of its customers. The partnership aims to extend Pride Bank's reach and give customers greater choice in how and where they access financial services.

The rollout of Verve Debit Cards will provide Pride Bank customers with access to a broader payment and cash withdrawal network. Through the integration with the Interswitch network, Pride Bank Verve Cardholders will be able to access their money at more than 650 ATMs operated by financial institutions on the Interswitch network across Uganda. The Verve Card can also be used at more than 20,000 POS locations across Uganda.

Moris Seguya, Country Manager of Interswitch Uganda, noted that the partnership demonstrates the value of combining banking expertise with scalable payments infrastructure to deliver more customer-centric financial services. The partnership will continue to deepen the customer experience and expand the value delivered through the combined offering as the solutions scale across Uganda.
