Pressdia has announced a partnership with the Untitled Designers Conference 2026, scheduled to take place on October 16 and 17, 2026, at Regal Hall, Ikeja, Lagos. The conference, themed "Human by Design, Where Culture, Code and Creativity Meet," aims to bring together designers, founders, and product leaders shaping Africa's creative industry. As a media partner, Pressdia will support media coverage before, during, and after the conference.
The Untitled Designers Conference began in 2022 as a platform for designers to learn from experienced professionals, connect with companies, and build relationships with others in the industry. Its first edition attracted over 700 attendees, with attendance rising to over 1,000 in 2023, over 1,500 in 2024, and over 3,000 in 2025. The organisers expect at least 3,000 attendees in 2026. The conference will feature keynotes, panels, and practical workshops covering design craft, product development, creative business, and the future of African design.
Through the partnership, Pressdia will help extend the reach of the event's speakers, sessions, and opportunities beyond those attending in person. The media visibility and press distribution platform will also help preserve the knowledge shared at the conference and connect it with audiences who can support the growth of Africa's design community. Tobi Akanni, a representative of Pressdia, stated that the partnership reflects the company's commitment to helping important African stories reach relevant audiences.
The programme will begin with a private mixer for speakers, sponsors, partners, and Inner Circle ticket holders on October 16, while the main conference will take place on October 17. Announced speakers include Niyi Okeowo of Kuda, Ted Oladele of Chowdeck, Taiwo Folu of Eaxum, Bashiru Yusuf of Pushé Studio, Tony Ameji of Tony&Co, and Onyechere Elizabeth Oloba of TheMerit agency. More than 20 speakers are expected at this year's conference.
The main conference will feature the UDC Design Challenge, where selected designers will compete live for a N500,000 cash prize, mentorship, and access to future UDC events. Pressdia works with brands, businesses, professionals, and organisations to distribute their stories through credible digital media. Its role at UDC 2026 will focus on amplifying the people and conversations driving the conference while helping the organisers sustain public attention around the event.
Akanni added that Pressdia's responsibility is to make sure the value of the conference travels beyond the venue, allowing people across Africa to discover the ideas, talent, and opportunities that UDC 2026 will bring together. The partnership will help ensure that the impact of this year's conference reaches far beyond the people in the room. Pressdia marked its 1st anniversary driving press release distribution for African businesses.
The partnership between Pressdia and Untitled Designers Conference 2026 is a significant step towards amplifying Africa's design community. With Pressdia's media coverage and press distribution capabilities, the conference is expected to reach a wider audience, providing greater visibility for the designers, founders, and product leaders shaping Africa's creative industry.
