President William Ruto has called on Kenyans to elect leaders with a clear vision and agenda for the country's development. During a four-day tour of Nyamira and Kisii counties, President Ruto emphasized the importance of choosing leaders with a demonstrable record of achievements. He criticized his competitors, stating that they lack concrete plans to address the challenges facing the country.

President Ruto highlighted the achievements of his Broad-Based Government, citing its capacity to unite the country and accelerate national transformation. He contrasted this with other political formations, which he claimed were built around personalities rather than policy. The President pointed out that Kenyans want better infrastructure, affordable living costs, improved education, and reforms in the agricultural sector.

The President explained that his administration has made significant investments in various sectors, including education, agriculture, and healthcare. He stated that cartels that had frustrated farmers have been eliminated, leading to improved production and better prices for farmers. President Ruto also disclosed that his government has allocated Ksh11 billion for tarmacking 180km of roads in Nyamira County.

In Nyamira County, President Ruto announced several development projects, including the construction of a Ksh1.7 billion Level 5 Hospital, which will ease residents' burden of traveling long distances to seek quality services. He also announced plans to build Nyamira Stadium at a cost of Ksh1 billion and an ICT Hub in South Mugirango Constituency, which will provide access to online jobs, digital skills, and Government services.

President Ruto commended the people of Nyamira for enrolling in the Social Health Authority (SHA), with 380,000 residents, or 65% of the county's population, registered with the national social insurance. He stated that his administration has paid Ksh2.3 billion to hospitals offering SHA services in the county. The President was accompanied by Cabinet Secretaries and a delegation of local leaders, including Governors Amos Nyaribo and Simba Arati.

Governor Simba Arati of Kisii praised President Ruto for his focus on grassroots development and national unity. He stated that the residents of Kisii and Nyamira have benefited significantly from President Ruto's administration compared to previous governments. Governor Arati expressed his support for President Ruto's leadership, citing the positive impact of his policies on the region.

President Ruto's tour of Nyamira and Kisii counties aims to engage with local leaders and residents, outlining his administration's plans for the region's development. The President's message emphasizes the importance of electing leaders with a clear vision and agenda for the country's development, rather than those who make empty promises.
