The Deputy Chief Administrator further reported that UNOPS and the Ministry of Energy are implementing an ongoing project to provide solar energy to 66 schools and 13 Primary Health Units (PHUs) across the district. This project aims to improve access to energy in educational and healthcare institutions. The council's efforts to collaborate with development partners are geared towards enhancing service delivery.
The council had made its second payment under the Accountable Governance Project, and other activities highlighted included stakeholder engagements and the procurement of chairs and a table for the Council. Sector heads provided updates on activities and developments within their respective areas of responsibility, ensuring councillors were informed about progress in various sectors.
