The company, which operates in Uganda and other African countries, provides emergency loans to employed individuals. The successful candidates will be responsible for leading a team of at least 8 Loans Officers, driving lead generation and sales conversions, and ensuring field discipline.
The Sales Team Leaders will be based in Kampala and upcountry branches across Uganda. Their key duties will include recruiting, onboarding, training, and retaining a minimum of 8 Loans Officers each month. They will also be responsible for driving daily lead generation, customer acquisition, and sales conversion activities for their teams. Additionally, they will supervise and monitor field teams to ensure adherence to approved route plans, work schedules, and operational guidelines.
To qualify for the position, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, or a related field. They should also have a minimum of 2 years of sales or marketing experience, including 1 year in a leadership role. Strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in computer applications are also required. A strong understanding of credit assessment, lending policies, and customer acquisition processes is essential.
The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting regular coaching, training, and field support sessions to strengthen product knowledge, sales skills, and overall performance. They will also track team productivity and sales results through daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews. Providing continuous feedback, motivation, and performance improvement support to Loans Officers will also be a key responsibility.
